Charity’s 48-Hour Prayer Marathon

Sunday, July 27 at 7:00 p.m. – Tuesday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Closing Prayer Gathering: Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Charity Lutheran

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” — Luke 18:1

For 48 hours, Charity will be immersed in continuous prayer—trusting in God’s power to heal, guide, and renew. From Sunday evening through Tuesday evening, we will unite in a sacred rhythm of intercession that lifts up our church, community, and the world.

At the top of every hour, wherever you are, you’re invited to pause—to breathe, to listen, and to pray. Whether you offer five minutes or a full hour, your prayers matter. Each moment offered joins a holy chain of faith and hope. Click here to sign up for a spot to pray.

We will be praying for:

  • The Mission, Vision, and Future of Charity Lutheran “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1

  • Our Children, Youth, and Family Ministries "Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” — Matthew 19:14

  • The Vision Council and Ministry Leaders "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God... and it will be given to you.” — James 1:5

  • Our Ministry Partners—Local and Global. We give thanks for our ministry partners in Bismarck and around the world, who serve with compassion and courage. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” — Romans 10:15 “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” — Acts 1:8

  • Our Community and City Leaders in Bismarck “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city... Pray to the Lord for it.” — Jeremiah 29:7

  • The Launch of Our New Wednesday Worship Service This Fall and all of our fall ministries. “Sing to the Lord a new song… from the rising of the sun to its setting.” — Psalm 96:1; 113:3

  • The Next Generation of Believers “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4

  • The Global Church and Regions in Conflict. Especially remembering Israel, the Middle East, Ukraine, Sudan, Haiti, and others longing for peace. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure.’” — Psalm 122:6 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

  • Those in Need of Healing, Strength, or Guidance “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” — Isaiah 40:29 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

  • Those Grieving or Walking Through Loss “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

  • A Spirit of Renewal in Our Congregation “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” — Psalm 85:6

This is more than a schedule. It’s a spiritual offering—an act of hope, trust, and unity.

We will conclude this time of prayer with a Gathered Prayer Service on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Come. Intercede. Worship. Be part of what God is doing through Charity.

Sign up for an hour. Stand in the gap. Let’s seek the Lord—together.
